The simple answer is yes, your house is probably suitable. Of course each house will need to be assessed and some of them will be more energy efficient than others, but generally speaking we are able to install solar PV panels on almost any home. You’ll need 2m² of unshaded space and it will work best if your home has a roof that faces East, South or West but we can work around that if need.
Here at Energy Installs we’re proud to offer a range of products which means that you can be sure that whatever you are looking for there will be something to suit you and your needs. We’ll need to look at your home and your roof before we can advise on the best set up for your needs. Ideally we want a roof that is 30° but we’re happy to work around this if needed. We can even install it so you have an EPC rating of D or higher so that you qualify for the highest Feed in Tariff rate possible – to help bring down the cost of your energy bills even further.
We what you to be able to make the most of the roof space that you have available which is why we have invested in high calibre software to help with the roof design. You need around 5.75m² per kilowatt of roof space but you need to take into account chimneys, overhanging trees and other things that could affect the amount of actual roof space you have available. The software we have allows us to design a roof proper and make sure that the solar panels we install for you are perfectly matched for your needs.
We want to make sure that you have a system that matches your needs, unlike other companies who tend to over charge for solar panel systems that are technically too large for your needs. What is important to bear in mind is that even if you have a smaller roof, you can benefit. Solar panels can generate some of the electricity that your home uses, even if you have to use traditional electricity methods for powering the rest of your home.
